  1. Rudy Bies says:

    Mr. Romanoff is spot on.

It is also a sad day that we no longer remember history. Maybe our deficient school system never taught us about Mao (China), Stalin (Russia) and of course Hitler in Germany. All of which were trusted and supported by the people in their respective Countries – yet these tyrants each disarmed their citizens and then went on to murder over ten million unarmed innocent citizens of their Country.

Who do we hold responsible if we fail to learn from History?

Yes indeed – we can blame ourselves.

  2. Rich Foley says:

I think most elected officals believe the second admendment is that people can have firearms to hunt. The truth is that our founding fathers bestowed that right so if necessary “We the People” can overthrow the government and keep the freedoms we have, given by God.

    • Dave Burrows says:

True enough. The second amendment is about the right to arm a militia to stand up against a tyrannical government. David Koresh, The Branch Dividians, Waco TX, Janet Reno, 55 dead adults, and 28 dead children all play a part in a story of what happens when someone tries to exercise those second amendment rights.

The buyers, and sellers of automatic weaponry are the bastardizers of those rights. The proliferation of these armaments begs the question; what weapons of mass destruction are in development now for the next generation of mentally ill terrorists here, and around the world to murder our children, and college kids? Will they also hide behind the second amendment?

  3. “It’s a sad day when a society continues on a path of godlessness.”

First Amendment rights also include the freedom to choose to practice (or not to practice) religion. You’re trying to stir up people by claiming that the government is here to steal your Second Amendment rights while simultaneously demonizing the practice of First Amendment rights. There are countries built around praising God at every step and limiting your freedoms based around a religious tenant:
    Iran.
